Understand your images. Know what is included.
Intraoral X-rays, panoramic OPG and 3D CBCT help our dentists answer different clinical questions. We explain why an image is needed and the applicable fees.
Detailed views of individual teeth and nearby structures, selected to investigate a particular area.
An overview of the teeth and jaws. Your dentist may also need a more detailed intraoral image.
Three-dimensional imaging for selected clinical questions. It is not a routine requirement for every consultation or emergency.
Illustrative examples of a panoramic view and a closer view of individual teeth. These are not R&H patient records.

X-rays taken at R&H Dental remain part of the clinic’s clinical records. Choose the situation that applies to you.
Patients who attend a free consultation and do not proceed with paid treatment may purchase copies for their own use or for transfer to another dentist or orthodontist: intraoral X-rays and/or OPG, 60€ total; CBCT, 90€; complete set—intraorals, OPG and CBCT, 120€.
Yes. At your request, records can be sent to you or directly to another dentist or orthodontist for an interconsultation. Following a free consultation without paid treatment, the same 60€ / 90€ / 120€ fees apply according to the images requested.
Clinical assessment, necessary intraoral X-rays and/or OPG, and a prescription where clinically appropriate. Intraoral X-rays and OPG taken as part of that consultation can be sent to you free of charge. A copy of an existing CBCT costs 90€. CBCT is not normally needed for an emergency unless clinically indicated. Additional treatment is quoted separately.
If you have undergone paid treatment at R&H Dental, your existing X-rays can be released free of charge. This includes sending them to you or, at your request, to another dentist or orthodontist. This concerns existing images, not a new imaging appointment.
Prescription only costs 49€. A dentist can issue it only where clinically appropriate and with sufficient information to prescribe safely. Alternatively, the 99€ emergency consultation includes assessment, necessary intraoral X-rays and/or OPG, and a prescription where appropriate. Payment does not guarantee that a prescription will be issued.
An iTero scan performed specifically so the digital scan can be sent to your own dentist or orthodontist costs 100€. This applies to a scan for external use rather than one taken as part of treatment at R&H Dental. An iTero surface scan is not an X-ray or a CBCT scan.
No. The dentist selects imaging according to your symptoms, examination, previous images and the question being investigated. A complete-set price is not a recommendation to have every type of scan.
Tell us about recent dental images and any pregnancy or possible pregnancy before imaging. Your dentist considers that information when deciding whether a new image is justified and which examination is appropriate.
Contact reception and tell us which records you need and whether they should be sent to you or another clinician. We will confirm identity and the intended recipient before sharing clinical information, and explain the applicable policy.
